چکیده

The problem of finding a suitable qualitative representation for robots to reason about activity spaces where they carry out tasks such as leading or interacting with a group of people is tackled in this paper. For that, a Qualitative Spatial model for Group Robot Interaction (QS-GRI) is proposed to define Kendon’s F-formations [16] depending on: (i) the relative location of the robot with respect to other individuals involved in that interaction; (ii) the individuals’ orientation; (iii) the shared peri-personal distance; and (iv) the role of the individuals (observer, main character or interactive). An iconic representation is provided and Kendon’s formations are defined logically. The conceptual neighborhood of the evolution of Kendon formations is studied, that is, how one formation is transformed into another. These transformations can depend on the role that the robot have, and on the amount of people involved. 1998 ACM Subject Classification I.2 Artificial Intelligence, I.2.3 Deduction and Problem Solving, I.2.9 Robotics, I.6 Simulation and Modeling

A Computational Model of Human-Robot Spatial Interactions Based on a Qualitative Trajectory Calculus

In this paper we propose a probabilistic sequential model of Human-Robot Spatial Interaction (HRSI) using a well-established Qualitative Trajectory Calculus (QTC) to encode HRSI between a human and a mobile robot in a meaningful, tractable, and systematic manner. Our key contribution is to utilise QTC as a state descriptor and model HRSI as a probabilistic sequence of such states. Apart from th...

Visual Tracking using Learning Histogram of Oriented Gradients by SVM on Mobile Robot

The intelligence of a mobile robot is highly dependent on its vision. The main objective of an intelligent mobile robot is in its ability to the online image processing, object detection, and especially visual tracking which is a complex task in stochastic environments. Tracking algorithms suffer from sequence challenges such as illumination variation, occlusion, and background clutter, so an a...

Advanced Analysis of PRVEP in Anisometropic Amblyopia

Introduction: to identify the pattern-reversal visual evoked potential (PRVEP) waveform descriptor by evaluating discrete wavelet transform (DWT) in order to optimize stimulus in the diagnosis of anisometropia amblyopia. Materials and Methods: The PRVEP testing was performedfor 31 normal individuals and 35 patients with amblyopia. The stimuli were consisted of spatial frequencies of 1, 2, and 4...

Optimal Trajectory Planning of a Mobile Robot with Spatial Manipulator For Spatial Obstacle Avoidance

Mobile robots that consist of a mobile platform with one or many manipulators mounted on it are of great interest in a number of applications. Combination of platform and manipulator causes robot operates in extended work space. The analysis of these systems includes kinematics redundancy that makes more complicated problem. However, it gives more feasibility to robotic systems because of the e...
